Horizon at Ortachala

Horizon at Ortachala responds to one of Tbilisi’s defining conditions: a city experienced through architecture, topography and landscape. The project sits at a dramatic bend of the Mtkvari River, with a folded hillside rising behind it to form a powerful natural backdrop.

The residential blocks are arranged around a C-shaped courtyard, opening toward the hillside to draw nature into the heart of the development. This configuration allows apartments and shared spaces to capture views of both the river and the surrounding landscape, while creating a more protected, communal internal realm.

The architecture steps in response to the terrain, forming terraces and external spaces that strengthen the connection between home and landscape. Horizon at Ortachala proposes a form of residential living grounded in Tbilisi’s particular geography, where architecture becomes a framework for experiencing the river, hill and city together.
